Information on Round 2 on May 22/23rd

The track for Rd2 is the Welsh Champs track which is always a very popular track with riders.
Foam padding will be used for the uplift trailers to look after your bikes.
Park next to Finish line and you can watch the riders high above come over the top of the hill.

Following the great time we had last year, were back again with another series at Caersws with some new tracks to blast down its going to be the series to race.

Caersws is an ideal place to start your racing career, situated in the heart of beautiful Mid-Wales between Newtown and Machynlleth this Classic Down Hill Venue of Caersws is will see the return of a great downhill series for 2010.

The normal format of Uplift on Saturday and racing on Sunday with new foam paddded trailers to look after your bike.

British Cycling Ranking points for all BC license holders but you don’t need a license to race.

All age categories and even a hardtail category for those that like it hard & fast.
Camping is Free from Friday,

Hot & Cold Food from tasty Janets Jacket Potatoes.

Caersws is the best DH venue in the UK for the choice of tracks to ride and the uplift service in renowned as the best any where in the country.Ian Jones always work very hard to get the tracks into the best condition with constant work being done to improve every year.
The tunnel in now under the uplift road which opens up 4 courses to choose from.

Medical Safety.

We have Extreme Medics on hand to take care of any of those that try just a little bit to hard.
This we have now have Full Paramedic on uplift and race day.

Prize Frozen for 2010 its still only £55 this includes free camping & uplift all day Saturday.
If you only want to do the Uplift on Saturday you need to post in an entry form.

The event takes place in a private forest.
NO PRACTICE IS ALLOWED BEFORE THE EVENT

Uplift Day:Saturday

Please use the series entry form to book your uplift for Saturday.
Saturday Tractors will start loading at 10.ooam and last uplift will be at 4.00pm with track closed at 4.30pm

Sunday Race Timetable:

Please note that these times are provisional and the organisers reserve the right to alter them to suit conditions.
Registration 08:00-10:00
Practise 08:30-10:30
Course Repair 10:30-11:00
Racing 11:00-Onwards

Riders off at 30 second intervals- Approximate Start Times will be posted in the Race Arena after Registration. There will be two timed runs, with the best recorded time to count.

All riders are reseeded for the second race run.

NOTE** DOWNHILL EVENT:

  •  Full Face Helmets and Bike Bar End Plugs are compulsory.
  • Also In line with BC guidelines, it is strongly recommended that competitors should wear Full Body Armour.
