We are hoofing it off to Maribor for Rd2 of the World Cup.

Update 13/05/10 Full Suspension bike might just win here?

Practice done in the mud, top half of the track is riding well just getting very muddy towards the new middle bits.
Dan Atherton and Cedric are riding full sus and jumping nearly everything with the hardtails not quite so good.Brits doing ok apart from Steve Simms knocked himself out on the track but is ok and will be back riding again tomorrow.

Update 12/05/10
We have arrived in Maribor and just done a quick track walk, its just over 500mtrs long with a drop of 84mtrs.
Its wet and muddy in places, it uses the same start, first two corners and fast jumpy bit the the throught the trees as last year but the wall ride is no more and replaced with reasonable size berm to spit you stright down the piste into two very small doubles (flags will be needed to slow the race down and add some overtaking opitunites here) and then the tack goes off the left but two low berms side by side to turn left into a big blob of mud

Strange mound of Mud in track?

before heading off down into the big double in the trees same as last year before hitting a right hand berm and warp speed into step and three big mellow rollers (same as Bridgnorth) then into steep kicky double before the finish under the timing clocks that seem very low and i think the talk guys will have to duck  to get under them!

Track photos on Thursday.

Last year after we left the very old Cable car collapsed but it looks like this has now been sorted with a brand new one

Sunny Maribor

Last year it rained so we are hoping for much better weather this time!

The 4x track has been rebuilt by the local guys so we will see what ideas they have come up with for track design.

Track walk and photos on Wednesday afternoon and a GPS map so you get the birds eye view.

Some random photos of the track changes
